We have already put out our official Galaxy Note 8 review for our readers, and we have been impressed past what the Milky way Note 8's dual camera setup has to offering. Following DxOMark's announcement yesterday that the Galaxy Notation 8 is the "best smartphone for zoom", nosotros decided to put together a few samples of pictures we've captured using 2x optical zoom on the phone to see how information technology works in real-life scenarios. We've put the zoomed-in samples side by side to their standard counterparts so you can go an thought of what the optical zoom can offer.

For those who need a refresher, the Galaxy Notation eight comes with two 12-megapixel cameras at the dorsum, i a standard 26mm wide-angle lens with f/ane.7 aperture, Dual Pixel autofocus, and optical image stabilization (OIS), and the other a 52 mm telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and OIS. The telephoto lens is what makes these optical zoom shots possible, in addition to pictures with DSLR-like bokeh effects through the Live Focus feature, samples of which nosotros had already published in a separate article a couple of weeks ago.
